Isaac Rutto warns that Deputy President William Ruto should be ready for a ‘mother’ of all battles in Rift Valley region.
The Bomet Governor, who was cleared to defend his seat, also claims that his Cha Cha Mashinani will beat Jubilee in terms of elective seats on August elections in the region that is perceived to be Jubilee’s stronghold.
“I am not threatening but he should be ready for a mother of all battles,” said Ruto during the Thursday’s rally at Bomet Green.
He added: “He is not the god of Kalenjins and should know that Jubilee has failed Kenyans. I will lock him out of this region and he should be prepared to respect CCM party.”
Having been elevated to fifth principal in the opposition outfit NASA, Rutto has been tasked to be in charge of opposition campaigns in the region.
He broke ranks with Jubilee administration moments after 2013 elections when the DP rallied for dissolution of defunct URP party.
In his Bomet backyard, the former Chapalungu MP is set to face Sotik MP Joyce Laboso who also doubles as National Assembly Deputy Speaker.
