Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto has explained his departure from the Jubilee coalition, which sponsored his candidature in the 2013 general election. Mr Rutto, now a pentagon member in the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition, told The Standard that Deputy President William Ruto made him leave the ruling coalition. He accused the former Eldoret North MP of insulting other leaders.“We have said bye to those who are insulting others,” the governor said, as per The Standard. He also claimed that DP Ruto rose to power because he was part of the Jubilee ticket in 2013.“You know, not both could be bad. But if you buy one, you could get a bad one for free,” he said.“And then the free bad one comes with a package of other bad ones. Last time we voted, we got a package in which one was free and it’s the free one who has given us all the trouble. He got in because he was part of a package.”Before officially leaving Jubilee, Governor Ruth formed Chama Cha Mashinani, which he intends to use to defend his seat in Bomet.
