Highly placed source withing the opposition team reveals that Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto is integral in the formation of National Super Alliance which is set to hold its public rally on Saturday.
Governor Rutto is set to formally join the opposition coalition in Bomet town when top opposition brass camps in the region for the fisrt time.
And according to the source, Rutto's CCM party would help scuttle Jubilee Party's votes in South Rift region as the game for numbers takes a new twist.
"Bomet town was ideal because the Rutto has been on top of the game all these years. He still commands a huge following despite persistent fights from Jubilee," said the source.
The source added: He will join the coalition on Saturday but he will still remain governor. He will help us penetrate the Rift Valley region in August polls."
Rutto has been in a major battle of supremacy with Deputy President William Rutto and their differences have sometimes turned chaotic in public rallies.
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity further says the Bomet Governor will be in charge of opposition's activities in the larger Rift Valley.
