Isaac Rutto, the Fifth NASA principal, will play host to the opposition outfit’s first mega rally in Bomet after they settle on a presidential flag bearer.
The Bomet Governor, a perennial critic of Jubilee administration, formally joined opposition team through his CCM party on Tuesday and vowed to deliver in South Rift.
With only four months to elections, the opposition principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula, a set to go for a make or break retreat in Kilifi to make formal deliberations on flag bearer predicament.
“I am now in NASA because my people have weighed options and made the decision,” said Mr. Rutto, who is set to defend his seat on CCM party.
He further said: “I will not interfere with naming of flag bearer but I will host the first mega rally after they settle on a presidential candidate.”
But in his backyard Bomet, Rutto is facing a fierce resistance from Sotik MP Joyce Laboso and former Konoin MP Julius Kones, who will however battle for Jubilee ticket.
With Rutto’s presence in South Rift, Jubilee party will be forced to pitch tent in the region to thwart his growing influence.
