Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto says Jubilee administration under President Uhuru Kenyatta misused tyranny of numbers in parliament in the last four years.
Coined by famous political pundit Mutahi Ngunyi, the term was used to refer to having numbers in parliament that would help the administration execute legislative agenda.
And on Sunday, Rutto said the government had lost touch with people and predicted an inevitable loss to opposition in August.
“We gave them power and later on decided to misuse the tyranny of numbers positively,’ said Rutto adding that Jubilee MPs have been undoing for Jubilee administration.
“They thought having numbers in parliament will always make them execute responsibilities the way they want. Kenyans have realized that and it’s time to prepare for an inevitable loss,” he added.
Having been promoted to fifth principal of NASA, Rutto has since been tasked to control vote Rich South Rift region.
And in August, the former Chepalungu MP will face a fierce battle from Bomet MP and the current National Assembly Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso of Jubilee party.
