Women from 12 counties from Rift Valley have pledged to support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.

They said they had no reason not to support President Kenyatta’s election after witnessing the momentous and unrivalled progress the country has witnessed under his leadership.

The pledge was made at the Agricultural Society of Kenya grounds, Nakuru.

They made the pledge when they met with First Lady Margrett Kenyatta.

The women were drawn from the counties of Elgeyo Marakwet, Laikipia, Baringo, Kericho, West Pokot, Trans-Nzoia, Nandi, Narok, Uasin Gishu, Turkana, Bomet and host Nakuru.

The women also vowed to maintain peace before and after the elections.
