Students from Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology have demanded the sacking of the institute's Principal Mr. Eddy Koimet citing poor management and tribalism.
Speaking on Wednesday while while airing their grievances to Education Cabinet Secretary Dr.Fred Matiang'i who paid an impromptu visit to the Institute, the students claimed Koimet has been favouring one tribe in various aspects in the institution.
They blamed the administration with accusations of interfering with students affairs citing the recent students' leaders elections which they claim the administration manipulated.
"We want the administration to keep off students' matters in this institution including the elections which we conducted last week.We want the elections to be fair and inclusive not a scenario where one tribe is favoured,"said one of the students.
The angered students ashamed the Principal before the CS and could not allow him address them.
In his address, the Education CS ordered the administration to ensure the students elections is repeated.
"I hereby order the administration to ensure that the elections are done once again and this should be done in the next two days,"said Matiang'i.
The CS also called on the management to puts things in order and a report handed to him soon.
