Muranga Women Representative Sabina Chege has sensationally claimed that ordinary Kenyans are the most corrupt people.
Her remarks comes at the time the country is embroiled in a series of corruption scandals that even saw the court denying 43 people linked to Sh9 billion NYS theft denied bail.
At a local TV show, Chege insisted that ordinary Kenyans are the most corrupt and that if people have to be jailed, the law should be applied to them.
“I admit that we have a challenge with corruption. Our country must now deal with this challenge once and for all.
“Unfortunately, these ordinary people are the most corrupt and if at all there is someone who should be jailed, it must be them. They disturb politicians a lot,” she said.
In his recent speeches, President Uhuru Kenyatta insisted that those found culpable should ‘carry their own crosses regardless of their social status.
