Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege has responded to claims that she has a relationship with a man alleged to be conning members of parliament.
Speaking on Friday, Chege refuted the claims as reported by a section of the media.
Chege further called on the government to provide with more security following the incident stating that her life was in danger.
According to her, 25-year-old Wazir Benson Masubo Chacha is now sending her and other MPs threatening messages because she unearthed his scam in Parliament.
“He used an ID number of a former member of parliament to register an M-Pesa account in the name of Sabina Wanjiku Chege. He did this in Donholm and we have all the details,” Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti said.
Kinoti further revealed that the man has since gone into hiding.
