The Murang’a women representative Hon. Sabina Chege has warned the Chief Justice David Maraga against provoking the Jubilee government.
Speaking in Baringo county on Sunday, Sabina Chege told the chief Justice that Jubilee government will revisit if he continues following them with court injunctions as planned before.
The legislator accused the Judiciary of ignoring theft cases but follow the Jubilee government anytime they decide to take action.
“Maraga there was a time we had said we shall re-visit, do not provoke us to revisit. For sure, there are many cases on people who have stolen but you do not follow them up, but the moment Jubilee decides to take action you follow them with court injunctions,” said Sabina Chege.
She also asked lawyers present to help the government to perform its duty.
“A can see lawyers here in large numbers, we are kindly asking you to help Jubilee government to do its work,” added Hon. Chege.
This comes after president Kenyatta criticized the Supreme Court judges after the nullification of the first presidential election where he said the he would return to the matter if elected.
“As Supreme Court, they cannot annul the wishes of the people. And we will revisit this thing,” the Head of State had earlier stated.
