Relegated former Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Western Stima have now turned heat at a section of their players and stakeholders accusing them of being behind the club's untimely exit from the top tier league.
Stima bowed out of the Kenyan elite league after finishing second bottom although their weak goal difference did them a graeter disservice as they were on level points with sixteenth placed Thika United.
And speaking to a local sports website on Wednesday, club chairman Laban Jobita accused some insiders of sabotaging the club and wreacking it from within.
"From February to June the saboteurs were some players but we sorted out the issue in June.In the second leg,we were sabotaged by stakeholders. We've identified them and I can promise you we are going to deal with them,we want to have a clean team in 2018 and as such we have to deal with such elements", he told Futaa.com.
The electricians have only been left to nurse painful memories considering that in the 2016 season they managed an impressive fifth place but have to contend with taking part in the National Super League (NSL) next season.
Nonetheless ,Jobita has promised that the club will make a comeback in the 2019 season.
