The former Leader of Majority at the Kiambu County Assembly, Simon Komu, has said he will move to court to challenge the manner in which he was relieved of his position.
Komu said he was not given a fair hearing and there was no formal meeting before him being stripped of his seat, a move he said took him by surprise.
The ousted majority leader was kicked out of office by MCAs for allegedly firing various committee chairmen from their offices immediately they assumed power.
The former Leder of Majority is said to have received a message at around 9pm on the eve of his dismissal from the Chief Whip Charles Arahuka inviting him to a TNA meeting. It is that meeting that saw him sacked.
“The Chief Whip sent me a message at around 9pm informing me there was a meeting the following day. The meeting kicked off at noon and in less than two hours, I had been kicked out of office,” Komu explained.
“The decision to remove the three chairmen from office was arrived at by then speaker Nick Ndichu who was removed from his position early this year."
The MCA vowed to take legal action on the allegation that he had threatened county staffs with threatening messages as it touches on his character as a person.
Komu has since been replaced by Patrick Chege Wanjiru.
