Over 300 pupils from 3 schools in Nyandarua County have in the past one week benefited from various facilities donated by the Safaricom Foundation. The pupils from Ngano primary School - Special Unit, Sipili School for the Deaf and Naiborom Primary school received furniture and renovated classrooms worth over Ksh2 million. “This particular focus is in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 4 which calls for quality education for all before 2030,” Mr Joe Ogutu Safaricom Foundation Chairman said. “The goal aims at eliminating gender disparities in education and ensure equal access to all levels of education for the vulnerable, including persons with disabilities by 2030 and we are playing our role as a Foundation to contribute to this.” Ngano Primary School’s Special Unit and Sipili School for the Deaf received furniture valued at Ksh680,600 and Ksh341,050 respectively while Nairobom Primary School received a furnished classroom worth Ksh990,000.
