Telecommunications firm, Safaricom, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kenya Alliance of Resident Associations (Kara), to beef up security in neighbourhoods.
Kara Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Henry Ochieng said: ''This partnership is a boost to the Kara's efforts to ensure living space that permits a life of dignity for all.''
Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore noted the mobile network service provider was committed to the achievement of the sustainability development goals, and would ensure the partnership lays out and maintains telecommunication infrastructure for use in deploying technology to enhance security
''We do not judge our success by the profits that we make but by the difference we make. This partnership with Kara opens the door in co-creating solutions that will promote sustainable development in our neighbourhoods,'' said Collymore.
Also present during the, Thursday, partnership was Safaricom Director for Sales and Regional Operations, Steve Okeyo, alongside other stakeholders.
