Collymore on Friday rubbished the claims terming them fake internet stories.

"Somebody made it up. It is just an Internet story. I was supposed to meet him but I could not because I was in a Safaricom board meeting," Collymore is quoted by the star.

According to Collymore, Zuckerberg could hire developers and build a payment platform if he really wanted a facility like M-Pesa.

On Thursday, social media was filled with reports indicating that the buyout was about to happen since Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had just visited the country last week.
