Nyali parliamentary aspirant on ODM ticket Saidi Abdhalla has conceded defeat in the race to capture Nyali parliamentary seat.
Abdhalla who is a cousin to Mombasa governor Hassan Joho has accepted and congratulated his competitor for the seat former journalist Mohamed Ali.
"It was a tight race. We have learned from our mistakes and we shall put a strong fight in future," he said.
"I would like to [congratulate] my opponent Mohammed Ali on winning the seat. I sincerely thank all those who took their time to come out and vote for me yesterday," he added.
By 9:30 am, Saido, as he is popularly known, was at 13,673 votes while Ali had 22,348.
