Nairobi County senator, Johnson Sakaja and Prof Judy Wakhungu on Monday commended Footprint Press and Natalie Githuku for launching the book, Nairobi.
The launching celebration of the book took place in Runda on Sunday afternoon at Lord Errol.
Sakaja in his message said the celebration of the book reflected the celebration of the city and it was important to appreciate its challenges and look for ways to restore it to its glory.
“Congratulation to Footprint Press on the launch of the amazing book, Nairobi. Such a lovely celebration of our city even as we appreciate its challenges and how to restore the lost glory,” said Sakaja in a tweet.
Natalie Githuku, one of the contributors to the book said the double volume coffee table book named 'NAIROBI - A city that calls your name'! Was different to all other books seen on the city looking at its unique features.
She said the amalgamation of the myriad slices of the book; Nairobi presents the beauty, the juxtapositions, the history, the humor and the essence of Nairobi.
Natalie said the book can be ordered at any time and delivered to the customers doorsteps freely.
