According to Sakaja, he will table a motion in parliament to have National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters allowed to demonstrate indesignated areas around the CBD.
Speaking during Lap trust AGM at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Sakaja noted that people have the right to demonstrate as long as they are peaceful and don't engage in unlawful acts.
The former nominated MP called on police not to use excessive force on demonstrators.
"The moment any of the demonstrators carry a weapon, we have seen them with stones, robbing and looting- we will notlet them demonstrate,” Sakaja stated.
This comes after Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i banned NASA demonstrations in the Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu Central Business Districts.
The CS has since been condemned for the move.
