Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja has sent condolences to those who lost their loved ones, property and livelihoods during the welcoming of NASA leader Raila Odinga by supporters.

Sakaja visited scenes where property was looted or damaged during the Friday protests and said the leaders in Nairobi would issue their comprehensive report today (Saturday).

"Assessing some of the damage caused today in Nairobi. My heart goes out to those who've lost loved ones, their property and livelihoods. This must stop," he tweeted.

"Nairobi leadership will tomorrow issue a comprehensive statement and direction on the way forward," Sakaja said.
