Sakaja argues that the former University of Nairobi (UON) student leader has the numbers and that the Friday court verdict that nullified his election is a postponed victory.

"Believe it or not, if a by-election is called in Embakasi East, then Babu will win with a bigger margin than he did on August 8, 2017, the Jubilee senator said in an interview with a local daily on Friday.

The High court on Friday, nullified Babu's victory on grounds that the election was marred by widespread errors.

High Court Judge John Sergon ordered for a by-election in Embakasi East, slapping the youthful politician with Sh5 million fine as costs for the petition.

Babu's lawyers have vowed to appeal the ruling even as opposition politicians question the grounds on which the court nullified the former UoN leader election.

The High court had earlier ordered for a recount of Embakasi East votes an exercise that confirmed that Babu won the election.

The youthful politician says that he is not afraid of a by-election and will win and even defeat President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto should they decide to contest.

Francis Mureithi had petitioned Babu's victory on claims of massive irregularities and voter intimidation.
