Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja has declared that no plans to impeach Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko will work.
Through a Twitter post on Friday evening, Sakaja said it is still too early for plans of impeaching the governor to emerge.
He said service delivery is all Nairobians want and so he should be given time to accomplish.
Senator Sakaja added that his team will support Sonko in accomplishing the demands of the city dwellers. He condemned those proposing for the impeachment of the governor citing that they are only taking advantage of their misgivings on his choice of going for Miguna Miguna as his deputy.
"No plan to impeach Mike Sonko will work. It is to early to pass such fatal judgment. What we want is what all Nairobians want; Service Delivery. We will support him to accomplish that. Let no one take advantage of our misgivings on his choice of DG. That is a different matter," Sakaja said on Twitter.
This after matters arose that Governor Mike Sonko will be impeached when he made bold move to nominate Miguna Miguna as his deputy on Wednesday and other claims of underperformance.
Jubilee politicians rejected the nomination and unfortunately, Miguna Miguna did the same terming it a 'malicious distraction'.
