Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja optimism that Babu Owino will win the Embakasi east MP again if election were to be held today is expected to brew a fresh storm between the legislator and fellow Jubilee leaders.
Speaking to a local daily on Friday, Sakaja said that Babu Owino will easily win the seat in the by election.
"Believe you me, if a by-election is held in Embakasi East, then Babu Owino will win again. He will will with a bigger margin than he did in August 8," Sakaja said.
The Nairobi senator had been put on the spot by Jubilee leaders led by Gatundu south MP Moses Kuria and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa over being a NASA sympathiser after he bailed out the contraversial Embakasi east Legislator from police custody a few weeks ago.
“Somebody went to get a small boy from the cells instead of helping the boy who has a long way to go to learn to respect the rule of law,” Kuria ridiculed.
The county lawmaker was branded amole in Jubilee after his action.
Sakaja explained it was a call duty beyond tribal lines and party affiliation to get him out of police custody.
