It is sometimes confusing to see politicians speak on behalf of a non-political unit as the Judiciary. Being the third arm of the government, I think the body should be left to deal with its issues and speak for itself if need be.
I am still to get the facts right as to why the TNA chairperson Johnstone Sakaja could hold a microphone to address the press about the wrangles in the judiciary.
Not unless TNA is another arm of the judiciary then I stand to criticize the move.
According to a news update posted by Mediamax network on Monday, Sakaja discarded the allegations that the Kenyan judiciary was involved in wrangles, ever further noting that the issue is a politically instigated thing.
When did he conduct investigations into the judicial process to conclude that such wrangles emerged from bad politics? If indeed he has evidence on the same, can he name the politicians responsible? This is Kenya. A leader may cross borders and speak on behalf of his or her rivals.
I feel it is time our leaders start directing their energies to the right paths. Instead of engaging in baseless talks beyond our jurisdiction, let us deal with matters that demand our urgent intervention.
If the TNA chair has issued a statement on behalf of his party over the IEBC issue, I bet this article would compliment him.
As a matter of fact, leave the judiciary alone. It can speak for itself.
