Sakaja says his eyes are on the post, and he has not struck any deal with another aspirant.

Several politicians have declared interest in the seat, currently held by Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)’s Evans Kidero.

They include: Senator Mike Sonko, Peter Kenneth, Dennis Waweru, Margaret Wanjiru, lawyer Miguna Miguna and Sakaja.

Sakaja has also called on other aspirants to unite in a bid to unseat Kidero in the August 8 polls.

Speaking at the Seventh Day Adventist church in South C on Saturday, Governor Kidero dismissed Jubilee aspirants’ bid for governorship, saying they were too disorganized to beat him.

"We are an organised house and they should put theirs in order first before gunning for my position. I am ready for anyone fronted by Jubilee," Kidero said.
