Speaking during a breakfast show on Wednesday, the nominated MP who is also a Nairobi county gubernatorial hopeful said the remarks by Nkaissery were unfortunate and highly regrattable.

"The remarks by Nkaissery are very unfortunate. Guys in the opposition are our friends and we know they mean well for the country," he told Radio Jambo.

Nkaissery is reported to have said that the opposition was keen on overthrowing the government by using the Arab Spring approach that saw several heads of state in countries in Northern Africa and the Middle East dethroned in 2011.
