Kanu secretary general Nick Salat has said the National Super Alliance (NASA) remains the best option for the Kanu party.
According to the Star, Salat said he was waiting for Kanu's NEC verdict which he revealed had been postponed until next week to determine whether the former ruling party will support either Jubilee or the opposition in the run-up to the August general election.
“For me, I am still adamant, NASA is the way to go,” Salat said as quoted by the Star.
He also confirmed that he will be joining the opposition brigade on Saturday for their much-anticipated rally in Bomet, and which will be hosted by Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto.
“I will be very much present in Bomet," Salat added.
The longtime Kanu secretary general and ally of Baringo Senator Gideon Moi had been rebuked and threatened with disciplinary action for associating the party with NASA.
This was after he conspicuously attended an opposition unity rally on January 11 that was held at the Bomas of Kenya.
