The five are Charles Munyi, Gerald Munyi Kibera, Gladys Mukahi, Ann Wambui Munyi and Joel Maina Munyi.

Alice Muthoni Ndung’u and her son Myles Ndung’u will be buried in Molo where Alice was married.

"We have no option other than bury them together since they died together," said Geoffrey Gachanja, Kibera's younger brother.

Although their death has left many puzzled, they recall asking them not to travel at night but they insisted and left only to meet their demise.

"I begged them not to leave that night but they did not heed my request," said Julius Kogi a family friend.

The seven who were travelling to Kitale after attending a burial in Karatina died on the spot after the saloon car they were travelling in collided with a lorry at the Salgaa black spot along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
