Sameta sub-county residents urged to wake up and concentrate on development.
Speaking to the people at the Itumbe sub-county’s celebration ground Johnston Muirigi the Deputy County Commissioner urged the residents to participate in Uwezo fund which aims at promoting development at constituency level.
He said that the Nyamache sub-county is leading in terms of developing and has benefited much from this programme, than Sameta sub-county.
Speaking to the people at the Itumbe the sub-county’s celebration ground on Madaraka Day, he further added that Nyamache received Sh14M compared to Sameta which received only Sh8M for the 2014/2015 financial year.
“I urge the people of Sameta to form groups and submit their forms to the senior Chief’s office, so that they can receive the funds and develop themselves,” he said.
He further said that the residents should give more space for drainage when asked, to give the government easier time to curb drainage problems. He also congratulated his team for good work done on security matters.
“I would like to congratulate my team for working extra hard to improve and reduce crime rates around, which has been seen already.
He thanked the residents for giving the sub-county humble time for its governance.
