Viwandani MCA Samuel Nyangwara has been removed from participating in the Nairobi county assembly committees.
Nyangwara who sponsored an impeachment motion against Governor Evans Kidero in the Nairobi County Assembly has come under tough consequences due to what was seen as his moving from Cord to Jubilee.
Nairobi County Assembly Majority Leader Elias Okumu said in a statement that Nyangwara has already moved to Jubilee Party from Cord and therefore is not supposed to represent Cord in any committee at City Hall.
"Going against the Cord coalition's policy is not accepted and this has led to Nyangwara's removal from the county assembly committees now that he cannot be trusted to represent Cord," said Okumu.
Nyangwara was elected in 2013 on a Cord ticket but his move to table a motion to impeach Nairobi governor Evans Kidero who was also elected on a Cord ticket was seen as betrayal by the Cord faithfuls.
