Speaking at Upper Hill in Nairobi, Dr. Sarah Serem outlined her achievements during the tumultuous period after the promulgation of the new 2010 constitution.

The term of the commission comes to an end during the period when they succeeded to carry out job evaluation that saw the harmonization of salaries and allowances through all cadres.

The Cabinet Secretary of Finance, Mr.Henry Rotich, thanked Sarah Serem's team for capping salaries below 10% of the GDP.

Deputy President thanked the commission for setting a tone of standards and pioneered policy framework in managing remuneration.He thanked SRC for eliminating skewed wage bill.

"We are making progress as a country," the Deputy President.

He applauded the 2010 constitution which he termed as progressive and added that independent commissions are the fulcrum of our nation." The salary of the President and other public servants is now available online unlike before," DP Ruto added.

The Deputy President reiterated that the run--away wage bill if people did their work and stop employing many unnecessary advisors.The meeting was attended by among others Governor Nanok of the Council of Governors.
