The management of Sarit Centre Westlands has issued a notice to shop owners and the public to stay away from the premise until further notice.
This is after fire razed a section of the mall causing panic among shop owners.
“We would like to inform the public that The Sarit Centre will be CLOSED today, Saturday 5th May, as we assess the damage caused by yesterday's incident and begin clean up operations. We thank you for all your messages of support and regret any inconveniences caused,” Sarit Centre management wrote on their twitter page.
Property of an unknown value was destroyed by the fire although there have been no reports of injuries and casualties.
Investigations are still being carried out to determine the cause of the fire that started in one of the shops around 10 am yesterday.
Snack Attack, GoTV, and Text Book business owners have also issued a notice to their customers of their abrupt closure until further notice.
The mall has over 100 tenants including banks, bookshops, medical centers, electronic outlets, mobile network operators, travel agents, restaurants, clothes shops among many others.
