The Director of the Sarova hotel who is also the chairperson of the Board of Kenya Association of Hotel keepers and caterers is dead.Jaideep Singh (JS) Vohr Vohr died on Friday afternoon in a grisly road accident which occurred near Emali.He was mourned by CEO Wildlife Director Dr. Paula Kahumba who sent a message of condolence to the Sarova hotels for the loss."Our deepest condolences to Sarova Hotels Kenya for your loss of Mr Vohra. We r saddened that our Kenyan roads have taken yet another one of our heroes. May he rest in peace. Lack of road safety in Kenya is stealing our best," she tweeted.Mr. Vohra was also the chairman of the East Africa Classic Rally and his death put to a halt the activity. However, a press release confirmed that the Safari Rally activities will go ahead in his honour.Raju Kishnani, his fellow Director of the Classic Rally was also involved in the accident however, it was reported that he suffered minor injuries and was flown to Nairobi by a helicopter for treatments.This is the second death of a top level manager of the hotel after they lost the HR Manager two months earlier.
