Kenya's sensation boy band Sauti Sol has decided to call it quits on their illustrious musical career, a move, they said, of goodwill to see to it that other artists also come up and take up their place.
They have decided to pass the button to other artists in the country after announcung their retirement from the industry as well as hinting at plans to relocate.
"This is where we announce that we are retiring as Sauti Sol and relocate at some point," they said in a joint statement.
They also made clear their intentions to open a record label adding that they have signed some of their with each member allocated a role to play in what promises to be a big deal in the near future.
Their current manager, Merek, will be in charge of production as well as their business and technology.
They however added that they are doing a lot of work behind the scenes as in working with a number of artists that the public is not aware of.
They promised their fans that the new label will be up and running before August and have vowed to meet their fans at that time.
"We have already done everything; what do you want us to do?"
Bien, a member of the group, said they are not giving up on music completely as they plan to go under just for some time but will be back with a bang.
Their wide fan base will of course miss them dearly and its everyone's hope to see them back and banging again as soon as possible.
