[Photo/standard.co.ke]Lugari Member of Parliament Ayub Savula says he will write to ICC to probe the killings executed by police during Nasa's anti-IEBC protests.Savula has asked the acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to be ready to take responsibility for police brutality.According to the legislator, police are committing an act of genocide by brutalising unarmed Kenyans which is against the law.“We want the ICC to dispatch its investigators to Kenya immediately so that they don’t say later they were denied access to crucial evidence to nail perpetrators of crimes against humanity,” Savula said as quoted by the Star.Savula also hit out at Matiang'i over his directive to ban demos in the major towns of Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa. The High Court has however temporarily lifted the ban.Speaking, Saturday, at Bukura Education Complex during Bukura MCA Walter Andati’s homecoming, Savula termed the demonstrators killings as an an “act of intimidation by the government”“How does one explain the shooting of baby Pendo, who was not picketing? This is not about violent protests, but creation of fear among Kenyans,” he said.
