A boy aged 15 is being held at Kegati administration police post after he was found by angry locals having sex with a goat on Wednesday.

Riabamanyi sub-location assistant chief Enock Omanwa confirmed the incident adding that the boy is a form one student at Nyanko secondary school in the region.

The chief said angry locals threatened to lynch the suspect but he rescued him and surrendered him to the police officers.

“Members of the public found the boy having sex with the goat in a small bush near their home," he said.

He said raping of animals in the region is on the rise and there is need for parents to guide their children especially male children who have been raping cows and goats in bushes. 

“Parents have failed in their roles of guiding their children. It time parents should step up efforts to guide their children more so boys who have been targeting to rape cows and goats at grazing fields,” he said.
