A standard five pupil at Hyrax Primary School was yesterday rushed to hospital with serious injuries after he fell from a rooftop of a three-storey building. An eye witness Jared Ontita told HiviSasa.com that David Kahoro was playing with other children at the rooftop of Makao Apartments when he slipped and fell. The eye witness said Good Samaritans rushed the minor to St Antony Hospital before alerting his parents who were away at work. “The boy was among other four children playing at the rooftop. We heard a thud and a commotion as the other children descended from the top. They informed us that one of them had fallen and we rushed to the scene," said Ontita. He said the minor suffered a broken hand and limps and was admitted immediately he arrived at the hospital. The boy’s father Julius Kahoro said he received the news of his son’s accident while undertaking a business deal in Lanet area and rushed to the hospital. “It is unfortunate that this happened. You can’t blame it on the teachers strike because accidents can happen anywhere anytime especially among children. I pray that my son gets well," he said.
