According to a public health report, the school has dilapidated floors, collapsing walls, backed up toilets and does not have a urinal pit nor hand washing facilities.

The head teacher of the school Mary Mutsoli spoke to MP Timothy Bosire when he visited the school together with the Constituency Development Fund. Mutsoli said that eight classrooms and offices have also developed huge cracks.

The legislator said that the matter could not be treated as an emergency but a new block should be built in place of the old one, and in the meantime asked that the walls be reinforced using pillars.

Bosire gave a Sh500,000 cheque from the CDF to start the building of a new block.

“I want to partner with you to build a new school because this one exposes our children to dangers,” he said.

Bosire said 61 out 189 schools have been refurbished through CDF, and added that these reconstruction aids should not be done away with but instead be increased.
