[Photo|Ali Joho]The county government of Mombasa through the Department of Education and Children, is distributing food for the second year, to KCPE candidates under the School Feeding Programme.As part of this programme, the county is feeding over 31,836 students undertaking their KCPE examination in all the 97 public schools across the county. Nutrition indicators have revealed that approximately 60 per cent of the children attending public schools are in need of nutritional support. "Our school milk program has helped parents in improving the nutrition standards, raised retention rates in schools, helped students focus in their learning and it is our hope that the program during examination will help students concentrate more," said Governor Ali Joho on Wednesday.
