Speaking to HiviSasa on Tuesday, a group of parents, led surprisingly by board of management chairman Victor Mairura, said most of the board members were dissatisfied with antics used by principal Henry Nyamwanda in handling issues.

They accused him of mismanaging funds that were set aside for purchasing of school bus besides failing to turn up in the institution for most times when he is needed.

They said the demonstration will be peaceful since they will later on march to educational offices to demand immediate transfer of the embattled principal.

“The problem here is mismanagement and corruption. Parents have been submitting Sh1,000 per term since last year and the figure could be almost Sh2 million that he has refused to account for despite pressure from board of management,” Mairura said.

“We will demonstrate on Monday and submit our grievances to the education offices in Keroka. We want him to be transferred but before that, he must account for the money,” he added.

However, the headteacher dismissed the allegations on phone, terming them as ‘irregular and false’ since he had given a down payment of Sh2.5 million to Toyota Kenya.

“Those allegations are false and irregular. I have receipts showing a down payment to Toyota Kenya and whoever claims I am corrupt is day-dreaming,” he said.
