Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (Kuppet) has issued a warning to leaders wanting to postpone the KCPE and KCSE exams.

“Parents, education stakeholders, the examination council and candidates had already set their brains on the dates set for the exams and any changes would psychologically affect them,” secretary general Akello Misori said as quoted by The Star.

On Saturday, Misori addressed members of the teachers union from different parts of the country including Bomet, Kericho, Kisumu, Mombasa, Nairobi, Nakuru and Nandi during the Kuppet yearly general meeting at Sunshine Upper Hill, Kericho town.

Misori also claims the Salary and Remuneration Commission is planning to suppress the rights of workers by meddling with CBAs.

“The institution has not spared MPs, who, with a 10-minute sitting, can disband the commission in Parliament. The commission has been a stumbling block on MPs’ earnings,” Misori said.
