Alliance Girls high school principal, Catherine Irungu was delighted when the media visited her after her school was named the best school nationally by education CS Fred Matiang’i.
“My school has performed well. We performed well because this school was formed on the hands of God and so we believe in God,” Mrs. Irungu told the media.
The Principal further attributed the good performance to extreme dedication and hard work of the teachers and their resolve to be the best school in the country.
“We believe in God, hard work and the resolve for excellence, we resolve to be the leading school in Kenya. We have 16 As and 119 A minuses,” she said.
On the other side there was jubilation at Pangani Girls High School in Nairobi which produced the best student nationally, Karimi Naomi Kagwiria.
The Principal Mrs. Florence Garari attributed her school’s good performance to faith in God and hard work.
“We are excited and we thank God for giving us that victory and we are happy because we worked hard. We also had a lot of support from the board of management and the parents and we are happy that the top girl came from here,” Mrs. Garari said.
