Baharini View Academy in the outskirts of Eldoret town has been closed down indefinitely following ownership wrangles.
The parents and pupils had earlier held a demonstration to condemn Monday's incident where the school director was attacked in the school compound by unidentified attackers.
The police were however able to bring the situation under control.
The parents said that their children have not been able to learn well since the dispute started.
"We know it has to do with the dispute that has been going on", said Teresia Wanjiru, a parent.
"After the number of pupils went up, the owner of this place became jealous and asked me to vacate but I asked him to give me some time to look for a place to move but he would hear none of it. It is just yesterday I was attacked in class by two men and injured badly," said Peter Mureithi, the school’s director.
Mureithi said that he has reported the case to the police and investigations are underway.
