The acting principal at Bosei Day Secondary School, Norah Koech, is said to have killed herself on Tuesday night and her body found dangling in her house.

Her lifeless body was found hanging in her seating room in her one bed-roomed rented house in Kapkiamo trading centre, two kilometers away from the school.

"My mother had not slept for the last three days, she used to stay awake all night," a nine-year-old son to the deceased told reporters.

Chief Simon Cheraste of Kelyo Location confirmed the incident stating that the deceased could have decided to take away her life for personal reasons.

Cheraste said residents found her body hanging in her house with a manila rope tied around her neck.

He said the body had no harms or injuries.

Cheraste said they opened the door to let out her three children who seemed to be locked in the other room.

"The lights in the house were on when we got to the house," he added.

Cheraste said Ms Koech did not leave any suicide note behind and her phone did not have a sim card.

The deceased took over as acting principal of Bosei Day School after then principal, Isaiah Chebor died following a short illness and buried on March 9.
