St Augustine Mombasa Preparatory school principal who was charged with murder following the death of a six-year-old pupil on Monday failed to take a plea after a psychiatric report on her was not availed in court.
The court was told that the report on the head teacher, Sarah Kessi, was not ready as the psychiatrist who was to conduct the test was on leave.Kessi was jointly accused alongside four other staff members.The six-year old pupil was crushed after he slipped through a crack on the floor of the school bus on July 21.The death of the pupil caused a public outcry which forced the Director of Public Prosecution to institute criminal proceedings against the five. The case will be mentioned on September 20, 2017.
