A school principal was on Wednesday admitted in hospital after being knocked down by a speeding vehicle.

The Madibo Secondary Scool principal was taken to the Busia County Referral Hospital in critical condition.

He was hit by the vehicle as went to collect KCSE exams answer sheets.

Hospital administrator Erick Wamalwa said the principal suffered fractures in both legs and head injuries.

The incident happened near the Nambale subcounty Education office.
