The Ministry of Interior and Coordination of the national government and the Ministry of Education have formed an eight-person investigations team to investigate cases of school fires in a bid to forestall future cases of unrest.

The eight special team drawn from the ministries are:-

1. Claire Omolo - Secretary of Administration, Office of the President.

2. Lilian Muli - Assistant Inspector General of Police.

3. Patrick Mugo - Assistant Inspector General, Criminal Investigations Department.

4. Charles Khayira - Senior Assistant Director, Ministry of Education.

5. James Kairu - Senior Assistant Director, Ministry of Education.

6. Loise Nyasenda - Senior Deputy Director, Teachers Service Commission.

7. Gracie K. Mulei – Educationist.

8. Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) F.C Mugambi.

The team is required to commence work immediately and submit its report to the government within 30 days.
