A primary School in Nakuru is now asking the government to help them reclaim their two- acre piece of land that was allegedly grabbed by a private developer.
Speaking to journalists on Saturday at Moi primary school, Alfred Bogonko, who is the chairman of Moi Primary School, said that the teacher's quarters were on the school land, but the private developer divided the two-acre piece of land into 13 residential plots, which have all been acquired and are being developed at the moment.
“We have tried all means, even going to court whereby the court ruled in our favour but the developer is not hearing anything from us. We are now kindly asking the national government and Charity Ngilu to kindly intervene on this matter before it goes big,” said Bogonko.
Bogonko went ahead and said that the school won a court case and the private developer was asked by the court to return the piece of land to the school but, up to now they have not done so.
“This person is not even hearing the court orders. He should be prosecuted for not obeying the court orders. All we want is to have our piece of land back and that the private developer leaves the school land,” added Bogonko.
