A schoolgirl from Kwandolo, Kilungu in Kaiti Constituency of Makueni County who was allegedly defiled by 21 men in different occasions has named the suspects.
Shock engulfed the area after the standard six girl revealed the sad act.
According to the victim's parents, their daughter had tried several times to have an abortion following a pregnancy that was caused by the rape.
Some of the suspects behind the heinous act are a local teacher and government officials.
The teacher has already been arrested and arraigned in court.
He was sent to remand after failing to raise a Sh.500,000 bond.
Kilungu sub-county deputy county commissioner Daniel Ndege has also confirmed that the file of three other suspects have already been presented in court awaiting prosecution and police officers are hunting for the remaining officers.
"There are already three whom we have evidence, there is a teacher mentioned, a boda-boda rider and others… very soon some will be arraigned in court" Ndege said.
Ndege spoke to parents at Kwandalo Primary School on Friday.
Kaiti MP Joshua Kimilu said he will make sure that the suspects are arraigned in court warning any public officers who might want to disrupt the case.
"We don't want to hear questions of why leaders are dragging this case, we want to hear the case has progressed from the chief's office to the police. From Kilome to the court," Kimilu said.
Kimilu promised to follow up the case to the end.
The girl's mother claimed some of the suspects tried to bribe her with Sh10,000 to drop the case, an offer she turned down.
