The county Education Chief Executive said the only way the government can fight corruption that is by making the society know the negative impacts it has to the society, which according to him should be taught in schools before the learners complete school.

Samuel Okuro Ong’wen said it will be prudent if the learners are subjected to ethics lessons at a young age so that they grow up knowing why they should not be corrupt but instead subscribe to a particular code of ethics.

"Am deeply concerned with the level corruption in the country has reached. It is for this reason that I ask schools in the county to consider teaching their learners some lessons in ethics as a way to tackle corruption menace in this country," said Mr Ong'wen.

He however said the lessons should not be examined but should only supplement other subjects in the curriculum.
