The National Parents Association has warned schools against imposing illegal levies on parents ahead of Tuesday opening.
According to chair, Nicholas Maiyo, some schools have already sent fees structures with charges higher than what the government recommends.
"Schools must abide by fees guidelines issued by the Ministry of education," he told journalists in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county, on Wednesday.
On the matter of mass transfers of school principals, the association noted on Wednesday that many had served for too long at their schools.
Maiyo said they should move immediately instead of 'resisting the move by the Teachers Service Commission.
